Job description

Al-Qadsiah is a Saudi football club recruiting a Safeguarding Officer to support their academy operations, framed within the broader Saudi sports development vision. The role sits under a Safeguarding Manager and focuses on embedding safeguarding across a professional sports/youth academy environment.

Core purpose

Implement safeguarding policies, promote awareness, respond to concerns, and contribute to a safe and inclusive culture across the club's academy teams.

Main responsibilities

• Support development and enforcement of safeguarding policies aligned with FIFA, AFC, and Saudi Federation (SAFF) guidelines
• Act as a designated reporting point for safeguarding concerns within academy teams
• Manage cases with discretion — documentation, escalation, secure record-keeping
• Deliver safeguarding education to players, staff, and families
• Collaborate with player care, coaching, and medical teams to embed safeguarding holistically
• Liaise with external safeguarding bodies under the Safeguarding Manager's supervision

Key requirements

• Degree in sports science, psychology, social work, education or related field
• Experience in child protection, player care, or social work — ideally in a youth sports/football context
• Knowledge of SAFF and Ministry of Sport regulations
