Job description

Based at InterContinental Muscat, this position manages the restaurant operations by achieving business objectives through customer-focused service delivery. Promotes the desired work culture around the five core values of Trust, Integrity, Respect, One Team, and Service of the InterContinental Hotels Group, along with the brand ethos.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you will mostly be:

1. Maintaining Trader Vic's international brand standards to ensure consistency in atmosphere, signature drinks, and culinary offerings.
2. Preparing monthly reports covering financial and product issues.
3. Controlling and analyzing departmental costs to meet budget targets, implementing corrective measures as needed.
4. Managing staffing costs by preparing efficient work schedules compliant with legal requirements.
5. Assisting the Director of Food & Beverage in preparing and monitoring the departmental annual budget to achieve financial goals.
6. Overseeing restaurant operations by ensuring adherence to standards, procedures, and opening/closing protocols.
7. Conducting shift briefings to inform staff of VIPs, special occasions, and upselling opportunities.
8. Motivating staff to deliver excellent service during all shifts.
9. Sharing guest feedback with the Chef and Food & Beverage Manager to reflect customer preferences.
10. Developing and implementing a Promotions Calendar for F&B products.

What we need from you:

• At least 3 years of experience as a Restaurant Manager in a 4- or 5-star hotel.
• Excellent knowledge of beverages, including alcohol.
• Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing); Arabic is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Micros operating systems.
• Strong customer service skills.
