Job summary

nahdi medical co. is hiring a radiology technician to perform diagnostic radiographs, maintain x-ray equipment and film processing, and handle radiology requests and reports with strict regulatory compliance.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Medical Science – Radiology, 2 years of experience, and fluency in English and Arabic. Working hours follow a department-approved shift schedule, indoors with 6 days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Applied medical science – Radiology section.
• 2 years of practical radiology experience.
• Fluent in English and Arabic (speaking and writing).
• Proficient in operating radiology equipment and processing radiographs.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for radiological procedures by positioning and immobilizing as needed.
• Gains patient cooperation by explaining procedures and addressing questions.
• Minimizes radiation exposure through proper technique and shielding.
• Maintains quality of radiographs by following standards and adjusting as needed.
• Maintains infection-control practices and a clean, safe work environment.
• Updates professional knowledge through training and publications.

Perform diagnostic radiographs, daily maintenance of x-ray equipment and room, daily maintenance of x-ray film processor and handles processing of radiology request, radiology reports and xray films and ensures strict compliance with any rules or regulations that apply to the clinic.

Accountabilities

• Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
• Gains patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of treatment; answering questions.
• Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors.
• Maintains production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures; developing radiographs; observing radiographic results; making necessary adjustments.
• Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.

The employee’s duties are not limited to the above-mentioned accountabilities. The manager can assign other duties based on the business need.
