Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in media, communications, broadcasting or related field required.
• At least 5 years in radio or broadcasting, with 2 years in a management or programming leadership role.
• Strong understanding of English-language radio programming and audience development.
• Experience managing presenters, producers, budgets, and broadcast schedules.
• Familiarity with radio automation, music scheduling, studio workflows and digital publishing tools.

Responsabilidades

Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Radio Station Manager to lead the programming, team, and operations of an English-language radio station in Oman. The ideal candidate will strengthen the station’s identity, grow its audience, maintain broadcasting standards, and support revenue growth, with a strong understanding of Oman’s diverse local and expatriate communities.

Key Responsibilities

Programming and Content

• Develop and implement the station’s programming strategy, maintaining a consistent sound, tone, and identity.
• Oversee program schedules, music selection, live shows, interviews, promotions, and locally relevant content.
• Guide presenters and producers through coaching, planning, and performance feedback.
• Ensure engaging, accurate, culturally appropriate content aligned with broadcasting requirements and editorial policies.
• Use audience research and listener feedback to improve programming.

Team Leadership and Operations

• Lead presenters, producers, and operational staff, ensuring clear objectives and accountability.
• Manage staffing, recruitment, training, schedules, and daily broadcast operations.
• Coordinate with technical teams to maintain reliable transmission and audio quality.
• Oversee broadcasting procedures, complaints, incidents, budgets, and external suppliers.

Commercial and Brand Development

• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on sponsorships, promotions, branded content, and advertiser campaigns.
• Ensure commercial commitments are delivered while maintaining editorial standards and listener trust.
• Represent the station and build relationships with clients, artists, businesses, and community partners across Oman.

Digital and Audience Growth

• Manage the station’s presence across social media, streaming, podcasts, and digital channels.
• Extend on-air content into digital platforms to increase reach and engagement.
• Develop audience growth and retention initiatives through events, competitions, and partnerships.
• Monitor and report on audience engagement, operational performance, and commercial campaign delivery.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in media, communications, broadcasting, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of radio or broadcasting experience, including two years in a management or programming leadership role.
• Strong understanding of English-language radio programming, music formats, audience development, and live production.
• Experience managing presenters, producers, budgets, and broadcast schedules.
• Familiarity with radio automation, music scheduling, studio workflows, and digital publishing tools.
