Salalah Public Library is seeking a Librarian Assistant to join our team for a full-time role with a monthly salary of 1,700 USD. You will support the Librarian in organizing materials, helping patrons locate resources, and checking books in and out.

The ideal candidate has library experience, strong organization, and a passion for reading in a welcoming community setting. The role involves shelving, reference services, displaying materials, and basic administrative duties.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a library or similar setting preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Proficient in using computer systems and software.
• Passion for literature and promoting reading among all members of the community.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Librarian in managing library materials, including shelving books and maintaining organization.
• Provide reference services to patrons, including helping them find resources and answering questions.
• Check books in and out for patrons using the library's system.
• Assist with creating displays and promoting library events.
• Help maintain the cleanliness of the library.
• Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, record keeping, and inventory management.
