Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Management, or a Project Management certification is advantageous.
• Chartered Engineer status is considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management support and mechanical engineering guidance for industrial facilities and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide project management support and mechanical engineering guidance for industrial facilities and infrastructure projects.
• Support the development and maintenance of engineering standards, specifications, and procedures.
• Monitor contractor performance to ensure work is completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Manage and control site activities to achieve project objectives within approved schedule and budget constraints.
• Prepare and present project progress reports, forecasts, and status updates to management.
• Lead projects through all project phases, from concept and scope development through technical evaluation, execution, commissioning, and handover.
• Coordinate engineering activities and pre-operational testing required for successful commissioning and start-up.
• Evaluate proposed projects and provide technical recommendations.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and supporting project documentation.
• Monitor and assess contractor performance and compliance with project requirements.
• Follow instructions and guidance provided by the designated Project Manager or Engineer-in-Charge.
• Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Management, or a Project Management certification is advantageous.
• Chartered Engineer status is considered an advantage.

Experience & skills

• Minimum 10 years of project, design, and engineering experience within heavy industrial environments.
• Experience in brownfield industrial projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and practices.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Working knowledge of engineering and drafting software such as AutoCAD.
• Experience with project planning software such as Microsoft Project and/or Primavera.
• Sound understanding of budgets, contractual requirements, business processes, and organizational decision-making.
• Experience supervising installation and commissioning of bulk material handling equipment, including conveyors and associated static and rotating equipment.
• Proven experience managing contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical reporting.
• Demonstrated decision-making, coordination, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Knowledge of standard contract terms and conditions.
• Working knowledge of industrial safety practices and project execution requirements.
