Job summary

Tanqeeb seeks an experienced Project Planner for cost and scheduling support across CSU activities in oil and gas facilities. You will develop integrated activity plans with engineers and create execution schedules for the project lifecycle, from design through start-up.

You will implement standardized cost and schedule reporting, maintain dashboards, and provide timely risk assessments. Strong communication, leadership, and multi-discipline coordination are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, ideally mechanical.
• Minimum 10 years in oil & gas project management.
• Primavera P6 and SAP experience is mandatory.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills are required.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Provide cost & planning services in support of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning & start-up (CSU) activities.

• Develop, in conjunction with project engineers, design engineers, construction engineers, activity plans/schedules for projects engineering, procurement, construction, CSU activities.

• Integrated Activity Planner at Coastal is under this position overall planning

• Build overall plans and schedules for the execution phase of projects, provides plans and schedules for ad-hoc construction service requests, integrated plans.

• Responsible for work activity progress reporting and regular update of plans and schedules. Work in close co-operation with Company Engineering & Operations planning department, for engineering, construction, and CSU planning, inclusive reporting, Primavera P6 entry, SAP daily service entry, and Bi-weekly/Monthly reports submissions. Resource optimisation / prioritisation in conjunction with Project Engineers / Construction Co-ordinators(s).

• Early warning of plan delays and proposals for mitigation to Project Engineers / Construction Coordinators for resolution. Provide assistance in job preparation to Project Engineers.

• Responsible to implement Systems related to Project Management, internal & external dashboards to communicate cost and schedule performance to teams in real time. Responsible to implement a standardized suite of cost and schedule reports that enable senior management to make data driven decisions

• Responsible to train the project planning team, QS etc on the application of effective planning techniques and controls (earned value, cost and schedule variance, estimates at completion, critical path analysis).

• Responsible to perform trend analysis and actively evaluate project cost and schedule performance to identify potential risk areas, validate forecasts, and communicate those quickly to key stakeholders

Desired Candidate Profile

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Mech Preferable) and membership of internationally accepted applicable professional Institute

• Minimum of 10 years experience in project management of oil and gas facilities, Mandatory Primavera Planning Software (P6), and SAP utilisation in oil and gas projects

• PMP (preferred)

• Strong communication, planning & organizing skills

• Exceptional leadership skills. Ability to lead and transform the assigned project (s) Ability to garner Management support and confidence.

• Strong project visualization and management experience

• Requires a good general multi-discipline knowledge / awareness. The job will require a lot of interaction with other disciplines and therefore good inter-personal and communication skills are required.

The candidate’s presence is required at both Coastal and Interior locations as per the client requirement

During this period, the candidate is expected to be available at the respective location to support site activities, coordination, and project requirements as needed.

This rotation system ensures proper coordination between office and site operations, and the candidate must be flexible and available to travel between both locations as per the project schedule and operational requirements.
