SHEET PRODUCTION MANAGER

Muscat, Sultanate of Oman

Salary & benefits Package

The annual salary in USD is 75’000 – 78’000, Tax free income

Max of 2 months annual bonus subject to individual and company performance.

22 working days per annum.

Medical Insurance for Self and dependents, wife and 2 kids up to 18 years.

School Allowance for 2 kids up to 18 years, USD 6,475 per kid per annum

Annual return airfare for self and dependents for the vacation

Relocation assistance – will support with flight, hotel accommodation for the first 2 weeks, and help to find suitable apartment

Sponsorship / Visa for self and family dependents provided.

Site Sheet Operations Manager

Supervises:

2 Production Teams & warehouses (totaling c.157 people, across 21 production lines)

Internal Relationships:

Departments Head / Managers

Bagging, Procurement / Purchasing Department

Planning & Logistics - Shipping Department

Maintenance - Mechanical, Instrument, Electrical

Job Purpose

Lead essential role to the Sheet production Department and responsible for the daily production activities of the sheet lines extrusion process.

Managerial Responsibilities

  • Promote and drive Environment, Health and Safety in his team and department
  • Plan, organize and control production in an organization to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time and within Customers standards.
  • Provide technical leadership to the sheet manufacturing production operations of PET sheets.
  • Assess overall production process to improve production efficiency.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews and monitor the performance of staff and organize necessary interventions for improvement
  • Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including planning, procurement, distribution and management
  • Manage human and material resources to meet production targets

Operational Responsibilities

  • Focus on cost reduction activities that will not affect the quality of the product.
  • Work closely with Planning team to build the production schedule. Execute it and coordinate any changes where needed
  • Determine and implement improvements to the production process
  • Prepare and maintain production reports
  • Ensure that standard operating procedures are adhered to, including in HSE and Quality
  • Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems
  • Monitor quality standards of products, Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives
  • Direct and coordinate factory operations within the company policies and procedures as per ISO BRC standards.
  • Supervise, lead and direct the production supervisors and extruder operators.
  • Motivating approach to subordinates to reduce work pressure at the same time improved work efficiency to attain production objectives.
  • Reviewing and approving plans for the control of planned output, budget spending, material efficiency and human resources.
  • Responsible for optimal execution of factory production objectives, policies and procedures.
  • Confer with other department heads to ensure coordination of purchasing, production and other functions in the factory.
  • Attend scheduled corporate training and meetings.
  • Establishing strong working relationships with all levels of employees

Job Requirements

Education & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or any bachelor’s degree course with a wide experience in the field of Plastic Manufacturing
  • 7-10 years’ experience in production of Plastic/Polymers Manufacturing environment, 3 years of these should be in a supervisory / managerial level.

Language & Computer Literacy

  • Good English language ability required.
  • Advanced Computer literacy and Microsoft office.
  • Working knowledge in SAP system or similar
