Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Schamal al-Batina, Oman is looking for an ambitious project planner to support project execution. Your primary responsibility will be to develop, monitor, and control project schedules to ensure timely completion of activities.

You will prepare and update project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project, and monitor project progress against planned performance. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Job Purpose

To support project execution by developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules, ensuring timely completion of activities in line with contractual milestones.

Reporting To

Planning Manager / Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling

• Prepare and update project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
• Develop baseline, weekly, and monthly execution plans.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication, and site teams to align schedules.
• Identify critical path activities and potential risks to project timelines.

Monitoring & Control

• Track daily/weekly progress and compare planned vs actual performance.
• Analyze delays and recommend recovery plans.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules and manpower/equipment forecasts.
• Monitor material availability against schedule requirements.
