Job summary

PPOAR is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician for a part-time role in Salalah, Oman. The position involves maintaining and repairing instruments used in the oil and gas industry, with responsibilities spanning inspections, calibration, troubleshooting and compliant reporting.

The candidate should have a Diploma in Instrumentation or related field, at least 2 years of oil and gas experience, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in Instrumentation or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in oil and gas.
• Strong knowledge of instrument calibration techniques and procedures.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics and manuals.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication in English (Arabic preferred).
• Physical ability to work in confined spaces, at heights or outdoors.

We are seeking an experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Salalah, Oman on a part-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on various instruments and equipment used in the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of instruments and equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with instruments and equipment, and perform necessary repairs
• Calibrate instruments according to manufacturer specifications
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any issues or concerns to the supervisor
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures while working with hazardous materials
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure timely completion of work
