Job Summary:
Saada Hospital, a modern private healthcare institution in Sohar, North Al Batinah, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Orthopedics Specialist Surgeon to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will provide expert evaluation and surgical management of musculoskeletal conditions, deliver high-quality patient care, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and treat injuries and disorders involving bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles.
Perform surgical procedures such as fracture fixation, joint replacements, arthroscopy, and trauma surgeries.
Conduct outpatient consultations and manage inpatients requiring orthopedic care.
Develop individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans based on clinical findings.
Request and interpret diagnostic imaging such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs.
Provide post-operative care and follow-up management.
Maintain clear and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
Participate in clinical audits, CME activities, and multidisciplinary team meetings.
Support junior doctors and medical interns through mentorship and clinical training.
Qualifications and Requirements:
MBBS and Board Certification (or equivalent) in Orthopedic Surgery from a recognized institution.
Valid license to practice medicine in Oman or eligibility to obtain one.
Minimum 3 5 years of post-specialization experience in orthopedic surgery.
Proficiency in trauma care, joint reconstruction, sports injuries, and elective orthopedic procedures.
Strong diagnostic and surgical decision-making skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
