Job summary

Deloitte Middle East in Muscat is seeking a Tax Associate/Senior Associate (Omani National) to assist clients with tax compliance and advisory services, develop relationships, and deliver high‑quality analyses.

You will work with the tax team across Oman and international regulations, research complex tax issues, coordinate projects, and communicate clearly in English and Arabic while staying ahead of evolving laws in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in tax, preferably with a focus on business tax compliance and advisory services.
• ACCA, CPA, or equivalent certifications are preferred.
• Strong understanding of Omani and international tax laws, regulations, and practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships, with a focus on delivering high‑quality service.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in meeting their tax compliance obligations while identifying potential tax planning opportunities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing tailored tax advice and solutions.
• Conduct in-depth research on complex tax issues and provide comprehensive analyses and recommendations.
• Manage multiple client engagements and coordinate projects and deliverables with the tax team.
• Stay updated with the latest tax laws and regulations in Oman and internationally, sharing insights with the team and clients.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues in the tax team and across other departments to deliver holistic solutions to clients.
