Job summary

Jing Hau is seeking an experienced Instrument Technician for an offshore oil rig in Khasab, Oman. The role covers installation, maintenance and repair of instrumentation and control systems on an offshore platform.

The candidate should have at least 3 years of industry experience, a technical instrument degree or certification, and be prepared for rotating shifts in harsh offshore environments. English proficiency is not required but would be a plus.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience as an Instrument Technician in oil rigs or refineries.
Technical degree or certification in Instrumentation preferred.
Experience with PLC systems is highly desirable.
Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics.
Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at heights.
Ability to work rotating shifts and extended hours as needed.

Responsibilities

Install, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair instrumentation and control systems on the rig.
Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of equipment.
Troubleshoot malfunctions using manuals and diagnostic tools.
Assist with installation of new equipment or modifications.
Keep records of maintenance activities and report issues to supervisor.
Adhere to strict safety protocols on offshore rig.
