Job Title: Network Engineer (Nokia, Cisco, Fortinet, MPLS, IP, Firewall, Switch)
Location: Oman

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer with extensive experience in MPLS, IP networks, and working knowledge of technologies such as Nokia, Cisco, Fortinet, firewalls, and switches. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex network infrastructures, ensuring optimal network performance, and implementing security measures across the network.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Design & Configuration: Design, implement, and maintain complex network infrastructures utilizing MPLS, IP, Nokia, Cisco, and Fortinet devices.
2. Firewall Management: Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco, or equivalent) to ensure network security and proper traffic filtering.
3. Switching & Routing: Configure and manage Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches (Cisco, Nokia, etc.) to ensure smooth data flow within the organization.
4. MPLS Configuration & Management: Manage MPLS networks, ensuring optimal routing, efficient data flow, and high availability.
5. Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships and liaise with external support (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Nokia) for escalations or product issues.

Technical Skills:

1. Strong knowledge of MPLS, IP networks, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, etc.)
2. Expertise with Nokia, Cisco, and Fortinet devices and technologies
3. Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS and FortiOS firewall configurations
4. Proficiency with Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching (e.g., VLANs, Spanning Tree, Routing)
5. Solid understanding of network security principles (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, IPS/IDS)
6. Experience with IP address management and network segmentation
7. Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN) and network automation is a plus
8. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher
9. Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE)
10. Nokia network certification (e.g., Nokia Certified Network Specialist)
11. Any other relevant networking or security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNP, CISSP)
12. Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience working with IP/MPLS networks
13. Strong background in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, Nokia, and Fortinet network devices
14. Experience in firewall management and security best practices
