Job summary

TradesApp is seeking a skilled Multi-Skilled Welder to support maintenance, repair and fabrication in a catering and facilities environment. You will weld on various metal components, fabricate stainless and carbon steel, and repair equipment and structures.

You will manage tasks independently, prioritize safety, and ensure high-quality finishes across kitchens, laundry, piping, tanks, and metal frames. Strong TIG welding skills with stainless applications are essential.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate or technical qualification in Welding, Metal Fabrication, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on welding experience.
• Advanced practical knowledge of TIG/Argon welding, especially stainless-steel applications.
• Working proficiency in MIG and Arc welding.
• Experience in equipment repairs, metal fabrication, and general maintenance work.
• Ability to manage tasks independently while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute TIG/Argon, MIG, and Arc welding on different metal components and structures.
• Perform stainless-steel and carbon-steel fabrication, modification, and repair work.
• Maintain and repair commercial kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, piping systems, storage tanks, metal supports, and structural frames.
• Complete metal cutting, grinding, drilling, alignment, fitting, and finishing tasks.
• Assess damaged components and determine appropriate repair methods.
• Check completed welds for defects, consistency, and finishing quality.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel to complete assigned jobs efficiently.
• Comply with hot-work permits, PPE requirements, and established safety standards.
