Job description

As a Multi Skilled Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the hotel's facilities. Your responsibilities will include performing a variety of technical tasks to uphold guest comfort and safety, contributing to financial efficiency, managing team interactions, and adhering to responsible business practices.

FINANCIAL RETURNS
  1. Perform maintenance tasks efficiently to minimize downtime and reduce operational costs.
  2. Assist in the budgeting process by providing accurate estimates for repairs and replacements.
  3. Monitor and control inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effective use and timely reordering.
  4. Support cost-saving initiatives through proactive maintenance and repair strategies.
PEOPLE
  1. Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to standard.
  2. Provide guidance and training to junior technicians or new team members as needed.
  3. Foster a collaborative work environment, promoting open communication and teamwork.
  4. Ensure that team members adhere to safety protocols and maintenance best practices.
GUEST EXPERIENCE
  1. Ensure all hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back of house areas, are maintained to the highest standards of functionality and cleanliness.
  2. Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and resolve issues effectively to enhance guest satisfaction.
  3. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential problems before they escalate.
  4. Collaborate with other departments to ensure minimal disruption to guests during maintenance work.
RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS
  1. Follow all safety, health, and environmental regulations to ensure a safe working environment and protect guest and staff wellbeing.
  2. Implement and support sustainability initiatives, including energy-saving measures and waste reduction.
  3. Ensure compliance with hotel policies, including responsible use of resources and materials.
  4. Participate in regular safety audits and contribute to the development of improvement strategies.
