Job description

Position: Multi Skilled Technician

Based at InterContinental Muscat, the Multi Skilled Technician supports the entire engineering team. Under the guidance of the Heat, Light and Power Engineer or Repairs and Maintenance Engineer, the technician operates, maintains, and repairs all aspects of the hotel's electrical and mechanical systems and equipment, adhering to IHG standards to ensure optimal operating efficiency at all times.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment such as laundry and kitchen equipment, HVAC systems including AHUs, motors, fans, water and sewage treatment plants, hotel water pumps, chilled water pumps, electrical panels, and emergency generators.
• Attend to repairs and maintenance of transformers and low-tension electrical panels.
• Manage electrical and ancillary installations, including audio/video cables, computer cables, and MTAV systems.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance throughout the hotel premises, including new extensions or properties maintained by the hotel.
• Respond to guest maintenance requests within 15 minutes of receipt.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance, ensuring uniform is clean and in good repair.
• Keep plant rooms, workshops, and related areas clean and organized.
• Observe safety standards and help maintain a safe environment for all.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Associate's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of maintenance experience.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, with ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
