Job summary

Green Umbrella Recruitment seeks a Legal and Compliance Associate in Muscat to manage referral requests to licensed medical institutions and the Appeals Committee, reviewing decisions and coordinating with coordinators.

The role requires excellent communication, proficiency in Arabic and English, and strong skills in drafting official correspondences, reports, and memoranda, with solid knowledge of relevant laws and regulations. Experience with electronic records systems is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Medical Sciences, Health Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or related fields.
• A professional certificate relevant to the job duties is considered an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review referral requests to licensed medical institutions.
• Receive and review referral requests to the Appeals Committee.
• Forward reviewed referral requests to the coordinators of licensed medical institutions and the Appeals Committee.
• Review decisions issued by licensed medical institutions and forward them to the immediate supervisor for approval or appeal.
• Approve Appeals Committee decisions in the system.
• Coordinate and collaborate with the coordinators of licensed medical institutions and the Appeals Committee.
• Participate in drafting the department’s procedures manual.
• Communicate with other departments within the Directorate of Work Injuries.
• Respond to inquiries directed to the department related to medical committees.
• Develop work procedures and the electronic system in coordination with the specialists in the Directorate of Digital Solutions and Information Systems.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.
