Job Title: Mechanical Technician (Port Equipment Specialist)
Location: Oman

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician with expertise in port container handling equipment to join our team in Oman. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing heavy-duty port machinery such as Reachstackers, Terminal Trucks (Top Loaders), Empty Container Handlers, and other related equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on port equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in container handling machinery.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment reliability and safety compliance.
• Assist in overhauling engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
• Follow maintenance schedules and keep accurate service records.
• Coordinate with the operations team to minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with Oman’s safety and environmental regulations.

Requirements:

• Diploma inMechanical Engineering / Automobile / Heavy Equipment Maintenance.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in maintaining port equipment (Reachstackers, Terminal Trucks, Empty Handlers, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Experience with diagnostic tools and welding/fabrication is a plus.
• Fluent in English/Hindi/Arabic (preferred but not mandatory).
• Must be physically fit for heavy equipment maintenance.
