A leading company in the Oil & Gas sector is seeking a Mechanical Technician to service and maintain engines and compressors. This role involves varied responsibilities including troubleshooting, conducting repairs, and participating in the improvement of maintenance programs. The ideal candidate will have a technical degree and some practical experience, with excellent interpersonal skills and a motivation to work in a diverse environment.
Summary
The purpose of this position is to service and maintain large engines and compression equipment. You will be required to carry out inspections, servicing, and repairs in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines and Occupational Health and Safety standards. You will also perform major overhauls and reconditioning of engines and ancillary components.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties
Assist in performing planned and unplanned maintenance activities on rotating and static mechanical equipment, including engines, compressors, turbines, and pumps.
Assist in troubleshooting and recommend actions to prevent equipment failures.
Handle and maintain tools and equipment used for performing maintenance activities.
Identify and report unsafe conditions to supervisors.
Assist in creating work orders in SAP and relay the required information to planners to update in CMMS/SAP.
Assist with the development of procedures and strategies for improving maintenance programs.
Monitor the performance of all mechanical equipment through daily logs.
Ensure housekeeping and plant cleanliness during and after maintenance.
Maintain continuous and adequate interaction with clients and customers as required by the Supervisor.
Follow the ERT roles and responsibilities assigned by site management.
Comply with all Enerflex HR, Quality, HSE, and company policies, procedures, processes, work instructions, and guidelines.
Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
