Responsibilities include coordinating activities related to the mechanical scope, ensuring quality in detailed engineering, supporting construction with technical queries, and overseeing mechanical engineers to guarantee quality operations. The role involves understanding project needs, quantifying requirements, and developing contracts.

Additional duties:

  • Overseeing manufacturing and quality controls before final shipments
  • Ensuring integration with other disciplines
  • Addressing operational needs while respecting governance
  • Communicating with stakeholders of diverse nationalities and cultures
  • Optimizing mechanical activities to expedite project execution and reduce costs

Minimum qualifications:

  • Graduation in Mechanical Engineering with at least 15 years of professional experience
  • Advanced English proficiency and excellent communication skills
  • Experience working on capital projects
  • Experience with mining projects such as iron ore beneficiation, pelletizing, or briquette plants (advantageous)
  • Experience with bulk material handling
  • Experience with slurry systems (e.g., pumps, pipes, agitators, tanks, settling tanks)
  • Leadership experience in mechanical discipline during engineering development
  • Proficiency in developing basic and detailed engineering using Building Information Modeling (BIM)
  • Experience with BIM in construction (plus)
  • Experience in brownfield projects
  • Construction experience (preferred)
