Role Overview: Responsible for coordinating activities related to the Mechanical scope focus process and equipment of the project. Ensures the quality of detailed engineering, meets project goals and critical paths, and supports the construction team with technical queries. The discipline leader will be responsible for communicating, monitoring, and overseeing other mechanical engineers to guarantee quality operations. Additionally, this role involves understanding project needs, quantifying requirements, and developing contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee detailed engineering development in India, China, Brazil, etc.
  2. Supervise manufacturing and quality controls prior to final shipments
  3. Ensure integration with other disciplines
  4. Address operational needs, representing the project and adhering to governance
  5. Communicate effectively with stakeholders from different nationalities and cultures
  6. Optimize mechanical activities to expedite project execution and reduce costs

Qualifications:

  1. Graduation in Mechanical Engineering with at least 15 years of professional experience.
  2. Advanced English proficiency and excellent communication skills.
  3. Previous experience working on capital projects.
  4. Experience with mining projects, such as iron ore beneficiation plants, pelletizing plants, or briquette plants, is an advantage.
  5. Experience with bulk material handling.
  6. Experience with slurry systems (e.g., pumps, pipes, agitators, tanks, settling tanks).
  7. Experience leading the Mechanical discipline during the engineering development phase.
  8. Proficiency in developing Basic and Detailed engineering using Building Information Modeling (BIM).
  9. CAD proficiency.
  10. Experience with BIM in construction is a plus.
  11. Previous experience in Brownfield projects.
  12. Construction experience is an advantage.
