Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mason or in a similar role.
• Ability to read blueprints and follow instructions accurately.
• Proficient in mixing mortar and laying bricks or stones.
• Strong knowledge of masonry materials such as brick, stone, and concrete.
• Familiarity with safety procedures on construction sites.
• Ability to use hand tools and equipment effectively.
• Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints or instructions to determine the scope of work.
• Measure and mark surfaces to be covered.
• Mix mortar or grout according to specifications.
• Lay out patterns or designs using levels and straightedges.
• Use hand tools and equipment to cut, shape, and polish materials.
• Lay bricks or stones in rows or patterns as per design plans.
• Apply mortar between joints of bricks or stones using trowels.
• Check alignment and levelness of structures using levels and plumb lines.
• Repair cracked or damaged structures using appropriate materials.
• Follow safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents on the job site.
