Job summary

Deloitte & Touche ME is seeking a Business Tax Manager to lead a team delivering comprehensive tax advisory and compliance for a diverse client base across industries in Oman.

You will manage client relationships, oversee corporate tax returns, and develop tax strategies while growing the practice and guiding junior staff. Strong English communication and supervisory experience are essential; Arabic/English bilinguals are favored.

Qualifications

• 6+ years general tax experience, including 5+ years in international, regional and national taxation.
• Experience with a Big 4 firm, law firm, or large corporate tax department of a multinational company is required.
• In-depth, first-hand experience across a wide range of industries.
• Significant experience in corporate tax, including advisory and compliance.
• Excellent research skills and strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Fluent in English (reading, speaking and writing). Preference for bilingual (Arabic/English).
• In-depth knowledge of tax and business laws and regulations.
• Excellent project management and presentation skills.
• Prior supervisory experience is required.
• Prior work experience and knowledge of Oman taxation is an added advantage.

As a Business Tax Manager at Deloitte, you will lead a team in providing comprehensive tax advisory and compliance services to our clients. You will play a crucial role in managing client relationships, delivering exceptional client service, and leading projects to ensure tax compliance and optimize tax strategies. Key Responsibilities:

• Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
  Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and provide tailored tax solutions.
  Lead client meetings and facilitate discussions to deliver valuable tax insights and strategies.
• Tax Compliance and Advisory:
  Oversee the preparation and review of complex corporate tax returns to ensure compliance with local and international tax laws.
  Provide expert advice on a broad range of tax issues, including corporate tax advisory, restructuring, and mergers & acquisitions.
• Research and Analysis:
  Stay abreast of developments in local and international tax legislation and assess their impact on client businesses.
  Analyze complex tax regulations to identify opportunities for tax planning and risk mitigation.
