• Monitor pool or beach activities for any signs of distress, ensuring the safety of all patrons at all times.
• Perform water rescues using effective techniques and equipment, providing immediate assistance to distressed swimmers.
• Administer first aid and CPR in emergency situations, maintaining composure and professionalism under pressure.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and facilities, reporting any hazards or maintenance needs promptly.
• Educate patrons about pool rules and safety practices, fostering a culture of safety and awareness among all users.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, rescues, and any first aid administered, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Respond to emergencies swiftly and efficiently, coordinating with emergency services when necessary for serious incidents.
• Participate in ongoing training and drills to enhance rescue skills and stay updated on first aid protocols.

Desired Candidate Profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in lifeguarding and water safety are preferred.
• Current certifications in CPR and first aid, with knowledge of emergency response procedures.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of lifeguarding experience in a pool or beach setting, demonstrating reliability and competence.
• Preference for candidates with a background in aquatic safety or wellness industries, showcasing relevant experience.
• Must possess a valid lifeguard certification from a recognized organization, ensuring readiness for the role.
• Strong physical fitness and swimming abilities, with the capability to perform rescues in various conditions.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively relay information and instructions to patrons and team members.
