Job summary

Al Jood Natural Resources in Muscat, Oman, is seeking an experienced Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting specialist to diagnose and repair heavy mining/quarry machinery, including excavators, dozers, and trucks. You will lead a workshop team, plan daily allocations, maintain spare parts inventory, and ensure safety and documentation compliance.

Qualifications

Experience in maintenance of heavy mining/quarry equipment.
Ability to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults.
Proven leadership of a workshop team.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and structural faults on heavy machinery.
Oversee engine overhauls and assess performance/fuel efficiency.
Lead gearbox, transmission, and final drive repairs and rebuilds.
Oversee undercarriage inspection and wear analysis.
Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and control circuits.
Coordinate with auto-electricians on electrical faults.
Supervise and mentor a workshop team and allocate daily tasks.
Maintain tools, inventory, and safety protocols.
Prepare and update job cards and maintenance records in the ERP.
Report equipment availability, MTBF/MTTR, and costs.
Prepare maintenance reports and support budget for costs.
Recommend spare parts planning and procurement coordination.
Value addition to the company.
