Job summary

Worley in Muscat, Oman seeks a Senior Materials Corrosion Engineer to lead a team delivering corrosion control strategies for onshore oil and gas projects. You will oversee materials selection, protective coatings and cathodic protection programs, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and project schedules.

You will mentor junior engineers, perform risk assessments and coordinate with stakeholders to meet regulatory and client requirements in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in relevant engineering subject (B.Sc./B.Eng./M.Sc) Chemical, Mechanical, Materials
• Membership of an internationally accepted professional body

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Materials Corrosion Engineers to deliver on time per QMS and client requirements.
• Ensure design integrity and deliverables quality across interfaces on multiple projects.
• Develop CTR based on scope and assist project schedule finalization.
• Manage work assignments, workload and forecasting for projects.
• Participate in HAZID, Design Reviews, HAZOPs, IPF classifications, HSE workshops; monitor QA per ISO 9001.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors and client personnel for material/equipment procurement and testing.
• Ensure designs align with international/client/company specs, standards and procedures.
• Provide feedback to improve applicable design standards.
