Job summary

gu-recruitment seeks a Plant Maintenance Operator to monitor and sustain optimal plant operation. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and coordinate with technicians to minimize downtime in a safety-conscious environment.

The role requires basic engineering knowledge, good English communication, and the ability to follow Oman O/M procedures while adhering to company policies.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office; strong written and spoken English.
• Good problem solving and organizational skills.
• Basic engineering knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain operating plants according to O/M procedures.
• Repair problems in coordination with technicians and engineers.
• Provide regular status reports of O/M activities to the Plant in Charge.
• Coordinate with internal/external maintenance staff as needed.
• Perform housekeeping and other duties as assigned; ensure policy compliance.

Job description

Provides expertise to ensure plants are operating/maintained in optimal conditions, providing product at design conditions in a continuous, safe, and efficient manner with all equipment and controls functioning at peak performance. Operates the facility during any routine planned maintenance or emergency breakdown to ensure uninterrupted supply of product from the plant to the clients. Continuously monitors and checks, according to plant O/M procedures and standards, all operating equipment/systems; ensures planned and predictive maintenance is carried out. Performs technical/operational duties to repair problems/faults that may arise within the plant, in coordination with technicians. Execute the prescribed housekeeping activities Provides regular status reports of O/M of plants, to Plant in Charge. Liaises with internal/external maintenance/technical staff to resolve technical deficiencies, as and when required. Participate in other related duties as assigned by line manager.. The Ensure all related activities are carried out according to company Oman policies, procedures, and standards.

Requirements Qualifications & Experience:

Preferred Technical Certificate (instrumentation, automation, communications, electronics or control) Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC or equivalent. Preferred Basic Engineering skills
