Job summary

Abroad Work in Nizwa, Oman is seeking a meticulous Junior Accountant to support daily accounting tasks, maintain general ledgers, and assist with financial reporting.

You will prepare balance sheets, reconcile bank statements, assist with accounts payable/receivable, and help with month-end close and tax compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or related field, 1+ year of experience, and strong Excel skills, with visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 1+ years of accounting or finance experience.
• Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledgers by recording transactions and reconciling accounts.
• Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements.
• Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable.
• Monitor aging reports to ensure timely collections.
• Prepare monthly tax returns and assist with audits.
• Assist with month-end close procedures.
• Prepare journal entries as needed.
• Participate in ad-hoc financial projects as assigned.
