Job summary

Abroad Work in Nizwa, Oman is seeking a meticulous Junior Accountant to support daily accounting tasks, maintain general ledgers, and assist with financial reporting.

You will prepare balance sheets, reconcile bank statements, assist with accounts payable/receivable, and help with month-end close and tax compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or related field, 1+ year of experience, and strong Excel skills, with visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates.

We are in need of a meticulous and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our team in Nizwa. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with daily accounting tasks and ensuring accurate financial records. Your role will involve maintaining general ledgers, preparing balance sheets, and reconciling bank statements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledgers by recording transactions and reconciling accounts
• Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements
• Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis

• Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions
• Monitor aging reports to ensure timely collection of payments from clients
• Prepare monthly tax returns and assist with tax audits
• Assist with month-end close procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• 1+ years of experience in accounting or finance role required
• Working knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
