Job summary

Pro Lens Projects LLC in Oman seeks a Junior Accountant to manage day-to-day financial tasks and maintain accurate financial records. You will support the finance team with reports, reconciliations, and regulatory compliance using Tally software.

The ideal candidate has working knowledge of Tally and a solid understanding of accounting principles, with a drive to learn and grow in a professional setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1–4 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (internship accepted).
• Oman experience and Oil & Gas industry exposure a plus.
• Proficient in Tally ERP 9 or Tally Prime.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and GAAP.
• Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office tools.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and grow in a professional accounting environment.

Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and process data using Tally accounting software.
• Assist in preparing financial statements such as balance sheets and income statements.
• Help reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Process bank deposits and assist with bank reconciliations.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist in preparing budget forecasts and financial reports.
• Verify the accuracy of invoices, purchase orders and other accounting documents.
• Assist in preparing and submitting tax filings and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
• Support internal and external audits as needed.
• Help maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Contribute to maintaining accounting controls by following policies and procedures.
• Backup financial data and maintain data confidentiality.
• Communicate with internal teams and vendors for financial clarifications and updates.
