Want More is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant in Muscat to support daily accounting tasks, prepare financial statements, and assist with payroll and audits.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in accounting (or related field) and has some accounting experience. Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP) is preferred. This is a contract position with competitive pay and room for growth.

Junior Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Junior Accountant to join our team in Muscat. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, such as preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank statements. The ideal candidate will have a degree in accounting or a related field and some experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Reconcile bank statements on a regular basis
• Prepare tax returns and assist with audits
• Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting
• Process payroll and maintain employee records
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Identify discrepancies or errors in financial reports and make corrections as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• Some experience in an accounting role (internship or entry-level acceptable)
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Quickbooks, SAP, etc.)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Salary: 1100$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
