Junior Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our accounting team in Salalah. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records and performing various accounting tasks, including reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and processing invoices.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Reconcile bank statements and other accounts on a regular basis
• Prepare journal entries and post to the general ledger
• Process invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Help with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
• Monitor cash flow and assist with cash management activities
• Stay current with accounting regulations and best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role (internships or part-time jobs will also be considered)
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (knowledge of accounting software is a plus)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members
