Job summary

Job description

The Instructor Lecturer will be part of the Academic department with the following responsibilities

Eligibility Conditions for Instructor/Lecturer

• Omani candidate
• The candidate's bachelor's and master's degrees are in the same field of study specialization as that of the advertised job.
• The bachelor's degree GPA is not less than 2.5 on a 4-point scale.
• The master's degree GPA is not less than 3.2 on a 4-point scale.
• Candidates must have at least two years of higher education teaching experience in English at recognized institutions of higher education.
• In case of no teaching experience the candidate should have a valid minimum IELTS (academic) score of 6.5
• Non-Omani candidate
• Candidates to teach English in the CPS must have outstanding command of the English language ( minimum IELTS Band 7.0 )
• A full-time MA in English, TEFL, TESL, linguistics, or a related field with a GPA of 3.2 or higher, and a BA in a related subject;
• At least three years teaching experience at the post-basic level after having completed their MA.
• A CELTA or TEFL/TESOL certificate is required for candidates whose MA or BA is not directly related to teaching English.
• Candidates without these qualifications will not be considered.
