Job summary

Siemens Mobility is recruiting an Installation Supervisor for a Turkey-based role within rail signalling projects. You will lead installation, testing, and commissioning activities, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery across the project scope.

You will coordinate technicians and subcontractors, manage resources, monitor progress, and document results. Strong leadership and fluent English are essential in this international assignment with cross-border collaboration.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline required.
• Minimum 5 years of railway signalling installation, testing and commissioning experience.
• Hands-on experience with balises, axle counters, and point machines and their testing.
• Experience with indoor signalling equipment such as Interlocking, RBC, cabinets and power distribution.
• Knowledge of railway asset protection systems (HABD, HWD, RFD, RFID, or similar).
• Experience with Control Center/OCC equipment installation and integration is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Strong leadership and communication to manage site teams and subcontractors.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality standards and project specifications.
• Maintain accurate daily reports and installation records.
• Coordinate interfaces with other disciplines, contractors and stakeholders.

What Are My Responsibilities?

• Supervise daily installation, testing, and commissioning activities within the assigned work section, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and in accordance with approved procedures and project requirements.
• Manage and coordinate technicians, laborers, and subcontractors to ensure effective execution of installation and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment required to support continuous and efficient site operations.
• Support the preparation and completion of installation, testing, and commissioning documentation in accordance with project requirements and quality standards.
• Monitor daily progress and report work status, technical issues, risks, and constraints to the responsible Engineer and Installation & Site Manager.
• Support testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and defect rectification activities to ensure systems meet the required technical and performance standards.
• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, quality standards, approved installation procedures, and project specifications throughout all site activities.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, installation records, testing documentation, and other relevant project records.
• Coordinate installation and commissioning activities with other disciplines, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure proper interfaces and timely execution.

What Do I Need to Qualify for This Job?

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in railway signalling installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Practical experience with railway signalling equipment and systems, including cable pulling, routing, termination, and testing.
• Experience in the installation and testing of balises, axle counters, and point machines, including adjustment and commissioning activities.
• Experience with indoor signalling equipment, including Interlocking, RBC, Axle Counter cabinets, equipment racks, and power distribution systems.
• Knowledge of railway asset protection systems, including HABD, HWD, RFD, RFID, or similar systems.
• Experience with Control Center/OCC equipment installation and integration activities is an advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, installation procedures, and testing documentation.
• Strong leadership, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage site teams and subcontractors effectively.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
