Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, IT, CS, Data Science or related field.
• Financial Technology Professional Diploma Certified or related credential.
• 2–5 years of experience in FinTech, digital financial services, banking, payments, or technology fields.
• Familiarity with APIs, AI/ML, blockchain, cloud computing, cybersecurity concepts.

Responsibilities

• Support in driving innovation within the financial sector ecosystem through implementation of initiatives under National Fintech strategy.
• Support in research and pilot projects of Fintech strategic projects such as CBDC.
• Support in establishment of innovation programs like National Fintech Hackathon, Fintech Innovation hubs and others.
• Support in The Fintech Regulatory Sandbox Process by assessing applications and providing mentorship and guidance to applicants, track testing outcomes and KPIs.
• Assist in development of digital/technical sandbox and experiments.
• Support in leading Corporate innovation initiatives.
• Identify and analyze emerging technology trends in local and global contexts.

Role Purpose:

• To supports the department’s efforts to foster a secure, competitive and innovative financial ecosystem through implementing its strategic initiatives.
• To support the department in implementing the corporate innovation digital transformation initiatives.
• The role involves internal coordination across relevant departments and external engagement with stakeholders such as Financial Institutions, Fintechs and technology providers.

Key Duties and Tasks:

• Support in driving innovation within the financial sector ecosystem through implementation of initiatives under National Fintech strategy.
• Support in research and pilot projects of Fintech strategic projects such as Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).
• Support in the establishment of innovation programs for the ecosystem such as National Fintech Hackathon, Fintech Innovation hubs and others.
• Support in The Fintech Regulatory Sandbox Process by assessing applications and providing mentorship and guidance to the applicants, track the testing outcomes and KPIs and provide feedback to relevant internal/external stakeholders.
• Assist in development of digital and/or technical sandbox and its implementations and/or any other experimentation platforms/ approaches.
• Support in leading Corporate innovation initiatives.
• Identify and analyze emerging technology trends in the local and global contexts.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science or related field.
• Financial Technology Professional Diploma Certified or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in FinTech, digital financial services, banking, payments, or technology feilds.
• Experience in regulatory/policy environment.
• Familiarity with technologies such as APIs, AI/ML, blockchain, cloud computing, cybersecurity concepts.
