Job summary

Crowne Plaza Resort Salalah is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead the hotel Engineering team, ensure safe and efficient operation of HVAC and mechanical systems, and uphold preventive maintenance standards.

The ideal candidate will have a technical AC&R or mechanical engineering qualification, at least 2 years in the Middle East, and strong supervisory, problem-solving, and safety awareness within an international hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in AC&R or mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 2 years in the Middle East, in a supervisory role or senior technician capacity.
• Experience with centralized chilled-water systems and chillers is preferred.
• Hotel or international hotel environment experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the Engineering team and ensure maintenance requests meet standards.
• Monitor, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain centralized HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance and respond to repairs across the hotel.
• Inspect plant rooms, equipment, guest areas, and back-of-house areas regularly.
• Respond promptly to engineering-related guest and operational requests to minimize downtime.
• Identify recurring faults and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire/life-safety regulations.
• Maintain maintenance records and work-order documentation.
• Promote energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
