Job summary

Crowne Plaza Resort Salalah is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to lead the hotel Engineering team and ensure safe, efficient operation of all engineering systems. You will oversee preventive and reactive maintenance, coordinate with other departments, and support energy conservation initiatives.

The role requires technical qualifications in AC&R or mechanical engineering, 2+ years in the Middle East, and strong communication as well as supervisory skills in an international hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration (AC&R) or related engineering field.
• Relevant HVAC/AC&R certification is desirable.
• 2+ years of engineering/maintenance experience in the Middle East, supervisory or senior technician preferred.
• Hotel engineering experience in international hotel environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the Engineering team; ensure maintenance requests meet standards.
• Monitor and maintain centralized chilled-water systems, chillers, HVAC equipment, pumps, AHUs, FCUs and related systems.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance across the hotel.
• Inspect plant rooms, equipment, guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house areas.
• Respond promptly to engineering-related guest/operational requests to minimize downtime.
• Identify recurring faults and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire/life-safety procedures and local regulations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work-order documentation.
• Monitor use of tools, spare parts and supplies; support energy conservation initiatives.
• Coordinate with other departments to address engineering needs; support training and development.
