We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Growth Manager to lead our direct & indirect sales channels in Oman and drive the expansion of our mobile wallet services
Position Summary:
The Growth Manager will be responsible for devising and executing strategies to acquire new customers and enhance the distribution of mobile wallet services. This role requires a seasoned professional with at least 5 years of experience, including a proven track record in Oman. The Growth Manager will report to the Head of Commercial and will oversee a range of responsibilities, from management of promotor agencies and
interacting with Ooredoo Oman Telco stakeholders to market analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy focused on acquiring new customers and distributing mobile wallet services through various physical channels.
- Identify target markets and customer segments to maximize sales opportunities.
- Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets aligned with overall company objectives.
Team Management and Leadership:
- Indirectly lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales representatives and promoters.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance team skills and product knowledge.
- Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and implement improvement plans.
Promoter Agency Management:
- Oversee the selection, onboarding, and management of promoter agencies.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and guidelines.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and audits of promoter agencies.
Sales Operations:
- Plan and execute sales activities, campaigns, and events to drive mobile wallet adoption and service usage.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for sales processes.
- Coordinate with marketing and product teams to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
Outdoor Sales Activities Management:
- Organize outreach programs and acquisition campaigns in diverse locations.
- Set up kiosks and promotional stands in high-traffic areas.
- Sponsor and participate in local events to promote the mobile wallet and engage with the community.
- Target areas include labor camps, industrial zones, souqs, malls, retail outlets, residential areas, and relevant local events.
Indirect Distribution Network:
- Develop and expand an indirect distribution network to enhance market reach, including working with Ooredoo Oman Sales Management to open their dealer channel for the promotion of walletii.
- Identify and partner with distribution channels such as retail chains, service centers, and local businesses.
- Provide training and support to distribution partners to ensure effective promotion and sales of mobile wallet services.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
- Track and analyze sales performance metrics and KPIs.
- Prepare regular reports on sales activities, performance, and market feedback.
- Use data-driven insights to refine and adjust sales strategies.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
- Address customer concerns and feedback promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Implement strategies to enhance customer retention and minimize churn.
Market Research and Competitor Analysis:
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Gather and analyze market intelligence to identify opportunities and threats.
- Adjust sales strategies based on research findings.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all sales activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements in Oman.
- Identify potential risks in sales operations and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Maintain high ethical standards in all sales practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, with significant experience in Oman market.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
- In-depth knowledge of the Omani market, especially concerning diverse expat communities and regulatory requirements, is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, or Bengali is a plus.
- Valid Oman driving license and preferably own vehicle
