Job summary

Oman Investment Authority is seeking a Container Terminal Execution Manager to lead the startup of a new greenfield terminal and drive day-to-day operations. You will oversee vessel operations, yard and gate activities, and equipment utilization while building a high-performance team andEmbedding Lean practices.

The role requires strategic planning, financial acumen, and strong customer focus, with emphasis on safety leadership and KPI-driven performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Terminal Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent with substantial experience.
• Minimum 8 years in container terminal operations, with at least 4 years in execution manager/supervisory roles.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Deep knowledge of container terminal equipment and systems; automation experience is a plus.
• Proficient in using TOS to drive daily operations and monitor KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates all terminal operations including vessel loading/unloading, yard, gate, and equipment utilization.
• Monitors real-time KPIs and takes corrective actions to optimize productivity and efficiency.
• Ensures adherence to safety procedures and quality standards.
• Manages and develops the terminal workforce, including shift scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
• Collaborates with planning, shipping lines, customs, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth cargo flow.
