Confidential is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead our retail finance operations in Oman. The role focuses on comprehensive financial reporting, IFRS compliance, and strong cost controls across e-commerce and retail channels.

You will partner with Commercial, Supply Chain, and Digital teams to monitor performance, optimize margins, and drive efficient processes. A proven track record in managing finance teams and ERP-driven improvements is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA/ACCA/CMA or equivalent preferred.
• 10–12 years of relevant finance and accounting experience in retail/e-commerce or large commercial organization.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, accounting, reconciliations, controls, and month-end closing.
• Experience managing and developing finance teams.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial controls.
• Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Retail and e-commerce experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead month/year-end closing and IFRS-compliant reporting.
• Partner with Commercial, Supply Chain, and Digital teams to track channel performance, margins and OPEX.
• Oversee inventory accounting, stock provisions, write-offs, and COGS variances investigations.
• Monitor daily liquidity, support cash flow forecasting, manage working capital and payments.
• Assist Finance Director with annual budgeting, long-term forecasting and variance tracking.
• Ensure VAT/regulatory compliance and support external audits.
• Direct and mentor the finance team, set performance objectives and accountability culture.
• Drive ERP enhancements and automate workflows to improve internal reporting controls.
• Deliver key metrics for closing accuracy, inventory integrity, cash flow optimization, and tax compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Closing: Lead month/year-end closing, ensure full IFRS compliance, and oversee journal reviews, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Retail & E-Commerce Business Support: Partner with Commercial, Supply Chain, and Digital teams to track channel performance, sales, gross margins, and OPEX.
• Inventory & Cost Control: Oversee inventory accounting, stock provisions/write-offs, and POS-to-GL reconciliations while investigating COGS variances.
• Cash Flow & Treasury Management: Monitor daily liquidity, support cash flow forecasting, manage working capital, and align vendor payments with cash plans.
• Budgeting & Variance Analysis: Assist the Finance Director in annual budgeting, long-term forecasting, and performance-to-budget tracking.
• Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure accuracy for VAT/statutory filings, manage external audit processes, and adhere to local regulatory requirements (ZATCA).
• Team Leadership & Development: Direct and mentor the finance team, set clear performance objectives, and build a culture of accuracy and accountability.
• Process Improvement & Automation: Drive ERP enhancements, automate manual workflows, and strengthen internal reporting controls.
• Key Deliverables & Success KPIs: Closing & Reporting Accuracy, Inventory & COGS Integrity, Optimized Cash Flow, Audit & Tax Compliance, and Operational Efficiency.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent is preferred.
• 10–12 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably within retail, consumer, e-commerce, or a large commercial organization.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, accounting, reconciliations, controls, and month-end closing.
