Job summary

Cheltenham Muscat seeks a Finance Executive to join our Oman-based finance team. The role involves processing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting budget control and compliance efforts.

You will report to the Finance Manager and contribute to financial integrity and sustainability. The ideal candidate has a finance or accounting background, detail orientation, and the ability to work in a bilingual, multicultural environment in Oman.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or currently studying).
• 5 years of relevant finance or accounting experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to follow processes and work within established controls.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Experience in Oman or the wider GCC region is an advantage.
• Ability to work in a bilingual and multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Process day-to-day financial transactions including invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries.
• Ensure all transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system with supporting documentation.
• Maintain up-to-date financial records and filing systems.
• Perform regular reconciliations (bank, cash, supplier, and customer accounts).
• Verify expenditures are approved and aligned with budgets.
• Flag discrepancies and potential budget overruns to Finance Manager.
• Support tracking of expenses against budgets with accurate coding.
• Promote compliance with financial policies and spending controls.
