Job summary

Daikin Middle East & Africa invites applications for an Assistant Manager – Finance & Accounting based in Muscat, Oman. The role oversees O2C, P2P, and R2R processes, ensuring accurate reporting, working capital management, and statutory compliance with local authorities and Daikin Group policies.

You will collaborate with SSC, customers, vendors, auditors, banks, and government authorities, driving process improvements and ensuring timely financial closes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of relevant Finance & Accounting experience
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Hands-on experience with SAP ERP
• Experience in manufacturing, trading, engineering, construction, or a project-based environment
• Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, financial reporting and month-end closing
• Good knowledge of IFRS, internal controls, J-SOX, VAT, and local statutory requirements
• Experience in credit management, collections, customer reconciliations, and working capital management
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Monitor receivables ageing, overdue balances, DSO, and follow up on collections
• Review vendor reconciliations, payment proposals, and aged GR/IR balances
• Monitor invoice processing, approval, coding, and posting through VIM and related systems
• Prepare and review non-routine journal entries, bank reconciliations and other month-end closing activities
• Support VAT reconciliations, statutory filings, and other local tax requirements
• Monitor revenue recognition and POC calculations in IFRS
• Coordinate audit requests and provide supporting documentation for audits
• Manage banking relationships and oversee banking facilities and account maintenance
• Support finance process improvements and other regional or global finance initiatives
