Job summary

A leading manufacturer of GRE/GRP Pipes in the Middle East is looking for a Field Service Technician to assist with installations and supervises hydro testing activities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Candidates must be proficient in English and demonstrate strong communication skills. This full-time position involves customer interactions and technical support on-field.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in GRP pipe bonding, spool building or pipe fitting.
• Strong communication skills and service-oriented approach.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Assist the installation contractor in jointing and hydro testing.
• Supervise installation and hydrotesting activities.

Job Description

• Assist the installation contractor in the aspects of jointing, handling, hydro testing of RTRP pipeline system materials as per the established documents (standards/specifications, procedures, and work instructions).
• Check the installation activities related to RTRP material handling, jointing, trenching and other RTRP related works in compliance with construction drawings and specifications.
• Check the availability of suitable equipment’s and materials used for constructing the pipeline/piping system as per the drawings and specifications
• Training the installation contractor’s personnel on RTRP material jointing, handling & hydrotesting.
• Supervise the installation and hydrotesting activities of RTRP pipeline system.
• Attend site meetings with customer representatives and liaise with customer representative and to resolve any RTRP related technical issues.
• Shall prepare site activities report indicating the progress of work and non‐compliance if any with a counter sign of installation contractor.
• Maintain installation and test records as per the requirement of this procedure.
• The selected candidates will be expected to perform technical support in the field, handle client interactions effectively, and represent the company with professionalism as FSR.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Educational background: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in GRP pipe bonding, spool building or pipe fitting.
• Strong communication skills and a professional, service-oriented approach.
• Face to Face round of interview in Chennai on 26,27 & 29 June 2025 in Kochi.
