Nestled in between the dramatic backdrop of rugged mountains and the pristine waters of the Sea of Oman, Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort and Spa is set on 124 acres of stunning scenery and home to three spectacular hotels: the family orientated Al Waha comprises 262 rooms, the diverse Al Bandar comprises 198 deluxe rooms and the luxurious and most exclusive Al Husn has 180 elegantly appointed guestrooms and suites. The resort also features 22 Food and Beverage outlets, 1,056 sqm ballroom with 8 breakout rooms, wide variety of recreational facilities, and a spa with 12 treatment villas.

Job Purpose

To oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of all food and beverage outlets in Al Husn Hotel, ensuring high standards of quality, service, profitability, and guest satisfaction. The F&B Manager leads, motivates, and develops the F&B team while maintaining cost control, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management:
  • Supervise the daily operations of restaurants, bars, banquets, in-room dining, and any other F&B services.
  • Ensure all outlets meet company standards of quality, presentation, and service.
  • Monitor guest feedback and initiate improvements to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate staff performance.
  • Foster a positive team environment with strong leadership and clear communication.
  • Conduct regular team briefings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
  • Financial & Cost Control:
  • Prepare and manage F&B budgets, forecasts, and profit and loss statements.
  • Implement strategies to maximize revenue and control costs (labor, food, beverages).
  • Monitor inventory, purchasing, and stock levels to reduce wastage and ensure availability.
  • Guest Experience:
  • Maintain a strong presence in F&B areas during peak times to interact with guests.
  • Resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety standards.
  • Strategic Planning:
  • Develop new menus in collaboration with chefs and bar staff to align with trends and guest preferences.
  • Drive innovation, promotional activities, and seasonal campaigns to boost sales.
  • Analyze F&B performance metrics and implement improvement plans.
  • Compliance & Standards:
  • Ensure full compliance with licensing, hygiene, and safety legislation.
  • Maintain brand and service standards across all F&B outlets.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial F&B role, preferably in a hotel or luxury restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of food & beverage operations, service standards, and guest expectations.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and POS systems.
