Job Purpose
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. This role ensures the bar is well-stocked, clean, and complies with hygiene and safety standards, while delivering a memorable guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Beverage Preparation & Service:
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes.
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and mocktails.
- Serve beverages to guests at the bar or through waitstaff.
- Guest Engagement:
- Greet guests, take drink orders, and provide recommendations.
- Maintain a positive, welcoming atmosphere.
- Handle guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Bar Operations:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
- Ensure all bar tools, glasses, and equipment are clean and in working condition.
- Set up and stock bar with necessary supplies before and during shifts.
- Inventory & Cost Control:
- Monitor inventory levels of bar items and inform supervisor for replenishment.
- Minimize waste and ensure proper usage of beverages and garnishes.
- Follow portion control and accurate billing procedures.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Adhere to hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service in line with local laws and company policies.
- Check identification of customers when necessary.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with the service and kitchen teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in bar promotions and special event preparations.
