Job summary

India Abroad in Al Buraymi, Oman, seeks an experienced Truck Driver to join the team and safely transport goods to designated locations. You will operate trucks and other heavy-duty vehicles, plan routes, and maintain logs to ensure timely deliveries.

The role requires proven truck driving experience, a valid CDL, a clean driving record, and strong English communication. Arabic is a plus. Accommodation is provided along with basic insurance and a supportive, safety-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role.
• Valid CDL.
• Clean driving record with no traffic violations or accidents.
• Good understanding of road safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and handle equipment necessary for loading/unloading cargo.
• Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus).
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Transport goods and materials from one location to another using trucks or other heavy-duty vehicles.
• Plan routes and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Inspect vehicles for defects and perform basic maintenance tasks.
• Adhere to traffic rules and regulations while driving.
• Load and unload cargo from the truck safely.
• Keep accurate records of deliveries and log hours of service.
• Communicate with dispatchers and other team members effectively.
• Follow all safety protocols at all times.
