Job summary

Crowne Plaza Resort Salalah invites a skilled Engineering Supervisor to oversee the hotel’s engineering team and ensure safe, efficient operation of HVAC and mechanical systems. You will lead preventive maintenance, inspections, and quick repairs to minimize downtime.

The role requires strong supervision, hands-on problem solving, and collaboration with other departments to uphold safety and service standards in a luxury hotel setting.

Qualifications

• Qualified in AC&R with technical/trade certification.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering/maintenance experience in the Middle East, supervisory or senior technician role.
• Experience in hotel engineering is preferred.
• Strong practical knowledge of HVAC, chillers, AHUs and FCUs.
• Ability to diagnose problems and implement corrective action.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of the Engineering team to meet standards.
• Monitor and maintain centralized chilled-water systems and associated equipment.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance and responsive repairs.
• Inspect plant rooms, guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Respond quickly to engineering requests to minimize downtime.
• Identify recurring faults and propose corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire, and local regulations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
• Oversee proper use of tools, spare parts and supplies.
• Support energy conservation and sustainability initiatives.
• Coordinate with other departments to address engineering needs.
• Assist in training and development of Engineering staff, promoting teamwork.
