Responsible for monitoring and performing the facility's day-to-day electrical and instrumentation functions. Execute tasks safely and efficiently in accordance with set company procedures to achieve production targets while maintaining effective communication with all stakeholders.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in performing safe and productive operation and maintenance activities on all electrical and instrumentation equipment in the facility.
- Ensure the Plant is operating as per OEM recommendations and coordinate maintenance activities with the supervisor.
- Assist in preventive and corrective maintenance of all equipment, including inspections, testing, calibrations, troubleshooting, and repairs of electrical systems, instruments, PLCs, analyzers, and GCs, while supporting failure analysis, providing management feedback, and preparing reports and other documentation.
- Monitor the performance of all electrical and instruments through daily logs and report abnormalities to site management.
- Work with the manager to identify required spares and tools, and manage stocks through CMMS/SAP.
- Create work orders in SAP as directed and relay information to planners for updates in CMMS/SAP.
- Read and interpret various drawings for electrical, electronic, instrumentation, and process data, including blueprints, schematics, loop drawings, and P&ID's.
- Participate in root cause analysis of routine problems and failures with supervisor/manager.
- Participate in training and reviews of electrical and instrumentation operational and maintenance procedures, offering feedback for improvement.
- Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness standards during and after tasks.
- Comply with Emergency Response Team (ERT) roles and responsibilities as assigned.
- Comply with all Enerflex HR, Quality, HSE policies, procedures, work instructions, and guidelines.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Qualifications
- Minimum a technical degree in electrical and instrumentation or equivalent.
- 0-2 years of experience in a similar role within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Knowledge of generators, engines, flowmeters, breakers, switchgear, control valves, PLCs, chromatographs, regulators, and engine ignition and control systems.
- Basic troubleshooting, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Basic understanding of engine and compressor performance and operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in English; Arabic is an asset.
