Job description

Conduct preventive/corrective maintenance of motors, generators, switchgears, transformers, and control panels.

  • Perform weekly trials,performance monitoring, thermography, and parameter logging (e.g., voltage, current, frequency).
  • Perform electrical equipment trials, thermography, earth leakage checks, isolation/de-isolation, and temporary power supply setups.
  • Monitor and record electrical parameters like voltage, current, frequency, and power.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain transmitters, control valves, ESDs, burner management systems, etc.
  • Support plant commissioning,cable laying, glanding, loop checks, and continuity testing.
  • Maintain documentation and logs as per regulatory standards.
  • Assist in PSV testing, instrumentation calibration, and reporting abnormalities.
  • Maintain and calibrate field instruments (transmitters, control valves, PSVs, ESDs, burner management systems).
  • Conduct preventive maintenance of instruments as per schedule.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify control system malfunctions, and monitor performance for abnormalities.
  • Support instrumentation-related field changes, data acquisition, and control system reliability efforts.

Requirements:

  • Technical diploma or trade certification in electrical/instrumentation engineering.
  • Experience with LV/HV systems and field instrumentation in process plants.
  • Knowledge of condition monitoring tools and thermographic techniques.
  • Familiarity with industry safety standards and lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • 7 years experience in oil and gas maintenance
